عید اب کے بھی دبے پاؤں گزر جائے گی

न तो आपको और न ही मुझे आपके बारे में पता चलेगा
ईद अभी भी अंडर पास होगी

tujh ko meri nah mujhe teri khabar jaye gi
eid ab ke bhi dabey paon guzar jaye gi


Neither you nor I will know about you
Eid will still pass underfoot

مرشد ھمارے ورثے میں کچھ نہیں سو ہم
بے موسمی وفات کا دکھ چھوڑ جائیں گے

मुर्शिद, हमारी विरासत में कुछ भी नहीं है
असमय मृत्यु का गम दूर हो जाएगा

murshid hamhare virsay mein kuch nahi so hum
be mousmi wafaat ka dukh chore jayen ge

Murshid, we have nothing in our heritage
The grief of untimely death will be gone

 اب گھر بھی نہیں گھر کی تمنّا بھی نہیں ہے
مُدّت ہوئی سوچا تھا کہ گھر جائیں گے اک دن

ساقی فاروقی

और कोई घर नहीं, घर की कोई इच्छा नहीं
मैंने कुछ देर सोचा कि मैं एक दिन घर जाऊंगा

ab ghar bhi nahi ghar ki tamanna bhi nahi hai
muddat hui socha tha ke ghar jayen ge ik din

No more home, no more desire for home
I thought for a while that I would go home one day

وہ بھی ایسا ہے کہ، چرچا تو بہت ہونا تھا
ہم بھی پہلو میں لیے چاند کہاں تک جاتے؟

وجاہت باقی

यह सिर्फ इतना है कि बहुत सारी बातें हुईं
हम पहलू में चंद्रमा से कितनी दूर जाते हैं?

woh bhi aisa hai ke, charcha to bohat hona tha
hum bhi pehlu mein liye chaand kahan tak jatay ?

اس نے  ماں  باپ  کا چپ  چاپ  کہا  مان  لیا
میں تو سمجھا تھا کہ پنکھے سے لٹک جائے گی

حسن ظہیر راجا

उसने चुपचाप अपने माता-पिता की बात मानी
मुझे लगा कि यह पंखे से लटक जाएगा

is ne maa baap ka chup chaap kaha maan liya
mein to samgha tha ke pankhe se latak jaye gi


He obeyed his parents quietly
I thought it would hang from the fan
