خودداریوں کے خون کو ارزاں نہ کر سکے
ہم اپنے جوہروں کو نمایاں نہ کر سکے
ہو کر خراب مے ترے غم تو بھلا دیے
لیکن غم حیات کا درماں نہ کر سکے
ٹوٹا طلسم عہد محبت کچھ اس طرح
پھر آرزو کی شمع فروزاں نہ کر سکے
ہر شے قریب آ کے کشش اپنی کھو گئی
وہ بھی علاج شوق گریزاں نہ کر سکے
کس درجہ دل شکن تھے محبت کے حادثے
ہم زندگی میں پھر کوئی ارماں نہ کر سکے
مایوسیوں نے چھین لیے دل کے ولولے
وہ بھی نشاط روح کا ساماں نہ کر سکے

hum –apne johron ko numaya nah kar sakay
ho kar kharab me tre gham to bhala diye
lekin gham hayaat ka drman nah kar sakay
toota tilsam ehad mohabbat kuch is terhan
phir arzoo ki shama farozan nah kar sakay
har shai qareeb aa ke kashish apni kho gayi
woh bhi ilaaj shoq gorezan nah kar sakay
kis darjaa dil shikan they mohabbat ke haadsay
hum zindagi mein phir koi arman nah kar sakay
mayusion ne chean liye dil ke walwalay
woh bhi nishat rooh ka saman nah kar sakay
स्वार्थ के खून को सस्ता नहीं कर सके
हम अपने सार को प्रकट नहीं कर सके
बुरी शराब का शोक भूल जाओ
लेकिन दुःख जीवन को ठीक नहीं कर सका
प्यार का टूटा हुआ ताबीज, कुछ इस तरह
तब वे इच्छा की मोमबत्तियाँ नहीं जला सकते थे
हर चीज के करीब आने का आकर्षण खो जाता है
वह इलाज से भी परहेज नहीं कर सकता था
कितने दिल दहला देने वाले थे प्यार के हादसे
हम जीवन में कभी और अधिक की कामना नहीं कर सकते
निराशा ने दिल के उत्साह को छीन लिया
वह आत्मा के आनंद का सामना भी नहीं कर सकता था
Couldn't cheapen the blood of selfishness
We could not reveal our essence
Forget the grief of bad wine
But grief could not cure life
Broken talisman of love, something like this
Then they could not light the candles of desire
The attraction of getting closer to everything is lost
He also could not refrain from treatment
How heartbreaking were the accidents of love
We could never wish for more in life
Disappointment snatched away the enthusiasm of the heart
He also could not cope with the joy of the soul
