اک یاد سو رہے کو اٹھاتی ہے آج بھی
خود جاگتی ہے مجھ کو جگاتی ہے آج بھی
یہ کیسی مطربہ ہے جو چھپ کر جہان سے
دھیمے سروں میں رات کو گاتی ہے آج بھی
صدیاں گزر گئیں جسے ڈوبے ہوئے یہاں
اس کو صدائے شوق بلاتی ہے آج بھی
جس شہر آرزو کے نشانات مٹ گئے
دل کی نگاہ پھر وہیں جاتی ہے آج بھی
ہونٹوں پہ بار بار زباں پھیرتا تھا جو
اس قافلے کی پیاس رلاتی ہے آج بھی
پربت کی چوٹیوں پہ وہ روتی ہوئی گھٹا
کس حادثے پہ نیر بہاتی ہے آج بھی
بس ایک ہی بلا ہے محبت کہیں جسے
وہ پانیوں میں آگ لگاتی ہے آج بھی
ہر روز آ کے خواب میں پازیب کی صدا
دھڑکن ہمارے دل کی بڑھاتی ہے آج بھی
حسرتؔ کوئی تو کھو گیا عمر عزیز کا
جو ننگے پاؤں دوڑتی جاتی ہے آج بھی  

ik yaad so rahay ko athati hai aaj bhi
khud jaagti hai mujh ko jagati hai aaj bhi
yeh kaisi Mutraba hai jo chuup kar Jahan se
dheemay suron mein raat ko gaati hai aaj bhi
sadiyan guzar gayeen jisay doobe hue yahan
is ko sadaye shoq bulati hai aaj bhi
jis shehar arzoo ke nishanaat mit gay
dil ki nigah phir wahein jati hai aaj bhi
honton pay baar baar zuba pherte tha jo
is qaafley ki pyaas rulati hai aaj bhi
parbat ki chotyon pay woh roti hui ghata
kis haadsay pay nyare bahati hai aaj bhi
bas aik hi bulaa hai mohabbat kahin jisay
woh paanion mein aag lagati hai aaj bhi

एक स्मृति आज भी स्लीपर को जगाती है
वह खुद उठती है और मुझे आज भी जगाती है
लोगों से पंगा लेने का इससे बढ़िया तरीका क्या हो सकता है
वह आज भी रात में नरमी से गाती है
सदियां बीत गईं जो यहां डूब गईं
जोश की आवाज आज भी इसे पुकारती है
वह शहर जहां इच्छा के निशान गायब हो गए हैं
दिल की आँखें आज भी वहाँ जाती हैं
वह बार-बार अपने होंठ रगड़ता था
यह कारवां आज भी रोता है
पहाड़ों की चोटी पर वह रोते हुए गिर पड़ी
नायर आज भी किस तरह की दुर्घटना को अंजाम देते हैं?
प्यार करने के लिए केवल एक कॉल है
वह आज भी पानी में आग लगाती है
हर दिन एक सपने में पायल की आवाज
हमारा दिल आज भी धड़कता है
किसी ने प्रिय उमर की लालसा खो दी है
जो आज भी नंगे पैर चलता है

A memory wakes up the sleeper even today
She wakes herself up and wakes me up even today
What a wonderful way to screw people over
She sings softly at night even today
Centuries have passed which have sunk here
The voice of passion still calls it today
The city where the traces of desire have disappeared
The eyes of the heart go there even today
He used to rub his lips repeatedly
This caravan still cries today
On the tops of the mountains she fell down crying
What kind of accident does Nair still carry today?
There is only one call to love
She still sets fire to the water today
The sound of an anklet in a dream every day
Our heart beats even today
Someone has lost the longing of dear Omar
Who runs barefoot even today
